About Theology of Fitness
A Catholic framework for training the whole person
Theology of Fitness exists to restore order to the way we approach the body, discipline, and strength. Not as an obsession. Not as a trend. As a practice rooted in truth.
If you are tired of fitness that leaves you anxious, exhausted, or constantly starting over, you are in the right place.

Why Theology of Fitness
Modern fitness culture is loud, fragmented, and spiritually confusing. It promises freedom, but it often produces obsession, comparison, vanity, fear, and the constant feeling that you are behind. Theology of Fitness starts with a Christian understanding of the human person, where the body is created with dignity and the spiritual life is lived in real life, with real habits, in a real body.
At the center is the mystery of the Incarnation. God took on a human body. That alone dismantles the idea that the body is disposable, irrelevant, or simply an object to perfect. It also dismantles the modern temptation to make the body into an idol. The goal is order. The goal is integration. The goal is to train in a way that forms the whole person with humility, discipline, and peace.
The Four Pillars of Fitness
Theology of Fitness is built on a Christian understanding of the human person as an integrated whole. Body, mind, heart, and soul are meant to work in harmony. These four pillars give structure to training so discipline becomes stable, practical, and repeatable.
Physical Fitness
Strength, mobility, and health practiced with restraint and consistency, ordered toward daily life and longevity.
Mental Fitness
Focus and clarity that resist distraction, comparison, and obsessive thinking, so your choices stay steady.
Emotional Fitness
Consistency beyond feelings, learning steadiness when motivation fades and life gets demanding.
Spiritual Fitness
A life oriented toward God, where discipline forms the soul and the body becomes part of faithful daily practice.

Meet Roxie
I am a lifelong athlete, coach, and Catholic content creator with a background in professional dance and decades of experience working with the body. I was born and raised in Brooklyn and have been in the fitness industry since the late 1990s. My passion for training began in the dance world, where discipline, repetition, and practice were part of daily life. I later graduated from the Fordham University and Alvin Ailey program with a BFA in Dance and continued building my work in movement, performance, and coaching.
I founded Roxstar Fitness in 2009 and have coached people around the world through training, nutrition, and long term habit formation. Over time, my work in fitness and my devotion to the Catholic faith converged into something more focused and more urgent. Theology of Fitness was born from that integration. It is a response to a culture that often treats the body as either an idol or a burden. I teach a way of training that is disciplined, realistic, and grounded in the dignity of the human person.
